Ukrainian military troops advanced to the outskirts of Gorlivka

Ukraine

  • Verkhovna Rada refused to vote for initiatives submitted by both the Government and the President, concerning reorganization of the gas transport system, amendments to the Tax Code and suggestions to increase military spending. Budget amendments will be considered during a special session of the Parliament on July 31, as well as admission of Australian police to the territory of Ukraine and and resignation of the Prime Minister Yatsenyuk. President Poroshenko consider working with the current Government of Ukraine. Appointment of the vice-premier minister Groisman as Acting Prime Minister have been published at the governmental portal.
  • Broadcasting of four Russian channels namely, RTR Planeta, Russia-24, NTV and TV-World Center-International, have been banned on the territory of Ukraine by the National Council for Television and Radio. These channels had been spreading false information about the situation in Ukraine, thats non compliant to the laws of Ukraine on Information, on TV Broadcasting and to the the European Convention on Transfrontier Broadcasting.
  • NBU lowered Ukrainian Hryvnia (UAH) exchange rate: UAH 11.75 / 1$ (-7 cop), 15.83 UAH / € (-10 cop), 3.35 UAH / 10 RUR.
  • SBU detained and expelled from Ukraine for Russia Today correspondent and British citizen Philips. He is banned from entering the country for three years.
  • Naftogaz losses are at 51.6 billion UAH after six months of  201 that is 30% higher than in previous year, however, with UAH exchange rate absolute loss  declined.
  • State Statistics Service reported average salary in Ukraine decrease by more than 5% compared to previous year. Taking into account the depreciation of Ukrainian Hryvnia, reduction amounts to more than 1.5 times.

Kiev

  • "Kyivenergo" announced that Ukrainian capital can be disconnected from hot water supply for an indefinite period due to the termination of natural gas supply from Russia and reduction of reverse from Europe.
  • Calls on mining of public facilities being received en masse by the emergency service in Kiev. No explosives  have been detected so far but civilians are being regularly evacuated. Imprisonment for up to 8 years could be applied for fake mining reports.

War in Ukraine

  • Ukrainian troops advanced to the outskirts of Gorlivka, that is a key point in the defense system of terrorists. International


  • Voronezh court confirmed detention of Ukrainian pilot Nadiya Savchenko until the end of August. She had been kidnapped by terrorists in Luhansk region and illegally trafficked across the border to Russia. While being interrogated in court, she said that the Russian security services abducted her on the territory controlled by the international terrorist organization LPR and must return her to the homeland. The lawyer said that the decision to arrest will be appealed to the ECHR. Russia plans to convoy Savchenko to Moscow, where the investigation of the case is being done.
  • Leader of the Right Sector Yarosh is listed in the database of persons wanted by Interpol. Ukraine's Foreign Ministry claims no grounding reasons for extradition of its citizen to Russian investigative bodies, while at the same time, Russia refuse to extradite those guilty of massacres on Maidan.
  • A group of representatives of the US Ministry of Defense is getting ready to arrive in Ukraine to assist in the construction of military infrastructure - said Pentagon spokesman Warren.
  • FIFA in its official statement called against the boycott of 2018 World Cup in Russia, as well as against deprivation of championship hosting.
  • Gazprom and Firtash company Centragas Holdings started the process of liquidation of the joint venture RosUkrEnergo, kneaded in a high-profile corruption scandals in Ukraine.
