• President Poroshenko signed amendments to the law on the National Guard, clarifying its size, power and legal basis of its operations,order of interaction with local authorities, law enforcement agencies and the Department of Defense. Commander is appointed by the president based on the recommendation of the Minister of Internal Affairs and dismissed by the president. Foreigners can serve in the National Guard under contract.

• Human rights activists and civil society representatives believe that the use of gangs - "titushek" in the trial of the leader of the party "Dill" Korban returns the country back to the times during the rule of former President Yanukovych. Court hearing looks like personal revenge to real competitor of President Poroshenko’s party on the possible early parliamentary elections, so he wants to put Korban under arrest at all costs. At the same time, the authorities' lack of zeal in the investigation of cases against murderers of the activists of the Maidan and the responsible for the war in the Donbass.
