  • President Poroshenko signed a law on the admission of the peacekeepers in Ukraine. Russia was recognized as the aggressor, and its troops cannot be considered peacekeepers.

Ukraine at War

  • The situation in the Donbass remains tense but stable, the number of attacks and shellings of the Ukrainian troops positions is not decreasing. According to the ATO headquarters official reports, there were no casualties among Ukrainian troops during the previous day. The army is ready to repel the attack, the probability of which the command is considering very high: according to the General Staff calculations, the Russian group amounting 54,000 people is concentrated on the Ukrainian border.
  • Defense Minister Poltorak reported that in July the US are to deliver 100 more Humvee offroadsters to Ukraine, training of the the National Guard forces by the American instructors will continue.
  • On Mariupol route, militants shelled the Red Cross convoy, delivering humanitarian aid to the residents of Donetsk, there are no injuries among the mission staff. More than 100 trucks with an unknown load of another Russian "convoy" arrived in Donetsk and Lugansk, again  without check by Ukrainian border guards.

  • The Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe adopted a resolution on persons who went missing during the conflict in Ukraine, which is called Russian aggression, and the Crimea is recognized as the occupied territory. PACE urged Ukraine to establish a specialized government body with the authority to search for missing people and ensure compensation to their families.
  • NATO Secretary General Stoltenberg during the meeting of Ukraine-NATO Commission  declared the possibility of a sharp escalation of the conflict in the Donbass again, and stressed that the Alliance stands for the restoration of the territorial integrity of Ukraine. The Supreme Allied Commander Europe Breedlove stated that Russia is building up weapons and troops on the Ukrainian border to the level corresponding to the readiness to conduct a major military operation.
  • UK Defense Secretary Fallon said that the country is ready to train Ukrainian military and provide the means of communication for the amount of £3 million under the new trust fund.
  • NATO is preparing to conduct the most extensive exercise since the Cold War times. More than 30 thousand troops from more than 30 countries will be participating in the exercises on the territory of three countries. More than 50 ships, 120 aircraft and 50 helicopters will be involved.
  • Participants of the "Tariff Maydan" in Armenia declared their campaign perpetual, they demand the cancellation of the decision to raise the electricity prices  for households and punishment for the police officers guilty of beating protesters on June 23. The protesters expelled the representatives of the Russian media from the rally.
  • In July, Ukraine and Hungary will begin the testing of a virtual natural gas reverse regime.
