  • The Verkhovna Rada did not support the reduction of the retirement age. Minister of Social Policy Rozenko said that from June 1 the assignment and payment of special pensions, including pensions for MPs, judges, prosecutors, would be stopped in Ukraine.

  • The official rate of the hryvnia against major currencies rose after two days of sharp decline: 21.65 UAH/USD (-0.50 UAH), 24.42 UAH/EUR (-0,42 UAH), 4.02 UAH /RUR 10 (-0.08 UAH).

Ukraine at War

  • The situation in the conflict zone in the Donbass remains tense, the militants use heavy artillery, MLRS and tanks against the Ukrainian army. At night Marinka, Krasnogorovka, and Ukrainian troops positioned on Artemivsk direction, in Sokolniki and Zolotoye in the Luhansk region underwent the powerful attack again. According to official statistics, six combatants were injured during the last day.
