Ukraine celebrated its 19th Constitution Day. President Poroshenko laid flowers at the monument to the founder of the first Ukrainian constitution, Hetman Pylyp Orlyk.
Finance Minister Yaresko refused to comment the fact that 90% of the sovereign debt of Ukraine belongs to the family of former President Yanukovych. She urged not to politicize the return of the credit to Russia and said that it is one of the bonds that are subject to restructuring, along with other commitments. In her opinion, the announcement of the technical default does not mean the suspension of all payments in the Ukrainian banking system, and there is no point to be afraid of it.
The number of fiscal and customs services staff, which was subordinated to the Ministry, will be reduced, and the Minister hopes that the reforms will increase budget revenues. Yaresko also announced about the launch of a pilot project on transferring of one of the customs to the management of the foreign company in order to reduce corruption.
