  • According to the Minister of Social Policy Rozenko, the Pension Fund is missing 80 billion UAH for payments. From his perspective, the only source of filling of the Fund is reporting real salaries.

  • Reuters believes that Ukraine will not get loans and investments in the nearest time, before foreign donors are convinced that their money will not be stolen by corrupted Ukrainian officials. According to the agency, decisions on the earmarking large funds will not be accepted at the planned investment summit. Investors decided to wait for the beginning of real reforms in the Ukrainian economy and control system.
  • NATO Secretary General Stoltenberg reiterated that the Alliance believes that Crimea is a Ukrainian territory illegally annexed by Russia. NATO is not seeking to expand to the East. In his opinion, today the Ukraine's accession to the Alliance it is not necessary, but he sees the desire of the Eastern European countries to join the EU and NATO.

  • The scandal over the arrest of the Head of the State Emergency Response Service and his deputy at the Cabinet meeting is gaining momentum. The judge refused to put the Head of the SERS under restraint. The Minister of the Interior Avakov required replacement of the investigator of the General Procurator’s Office. The opening of four more criminal cases was announced. During interrogation the Heads of the regional departments of the State Emergency Response Services testified about the facts of extortion by superior public officers. Trial on the choice of preventive measures is scheduled for Saturday. Acting Head of the SERS Shkiryak announced the beginning of the "total lustration" for the SERS’s staff.
